How-to: Install stock ambient lighting from wrecked Mustang

I just wanted to post a quick thread about the ease in adding ambient lighting using the stock parts from the previous generation mustang.
You need to drill one hole The size of the front of the ambient light module and 2 small holes that allows you to put the tabs that twist turn to lock it into the plastic piece.. 4 wires one is for ground and the other 3 allow you to choose between the colors, red blue or green.

Nice! Simple. So the socket gets power when the ignition is turned on and that powers the light? It is not connected nor does it light when the doors open and the footwell lights are on?

Yes, it gets power from the 12 V accessory. They stay on about 10 minutes after you shut the truck off. But do not turn on until you start it.. I did not have factory ambient lighting. Or I would have used that circuit for it so I just made my own

Interesting. My 12v power socket above the cupholder comes on and off with the engine! So when I pull up to a traffic light and the auto stop turns the engine off my radar detector turns off, and when I pull away from the traffic light my detector reboots. I wonder if your lights are going to do the same or if your Tremor is different from my XLT.

I do have an x l t tremor mine stays on all the time even when my auto start stop is engaged... I'm wondering if they changed something so it stays on mine is a 24 model
