My dealer put my order in as a priority code 10, I have seen on here where some have a priority code of 2, who changes that Ford, does it go down in steps like 9,8,7 and how do you know or find out when it goes from one code to another

10-19 are dealer assignable/choosable.

10 is best, 19 is worst. If you are a 10 (and nobody else is), it means Ford will look at yours first out of all the dealer's orders. If you are a 19 (and there are people who are 10-18), those other people will get looked at first.

Most dealers seem to enter ALL orders as one number. So....all 10. Or all 19. Removing the prioritization within their dealership.

Now....how do you get to a 2? The regional scheduler pulls orders that are being "previewed" into a status of 2. It locks any edits by the dealer, so that the dealer cant add or remove options while the regional schedulers are deciding if that Maverick will be scheduled for production or not. Some people are "stuck" in status 2 for weeks or months. All it means if you are a "2" is that "Ford" is trying to get you onto the schedule as soon as they can. Means you are 99.5% of the way there to being assigned to a scheduling week. But, as I said, some people are at that "99.5% of the way there" status for weeks or months.

Dealers can set codes from 10 to 19 on retail customer orders. Has zero carry over effect regarding placement in line as regards being in the mix with orders from other dealers.

Ford corporate moves orders to Priority 2, which for all intents and purposes translates to "now in the queue to move to production." Either your dealer or Ford phone line (800 334-4375) may inform you of status or change in priority.
