Aftermarket sunroof?

I've looked at some 3rd party options, people say you can run into issues with them not sealing properly and leaking, I don't want it to look cheap either.. I'm kind of more hoping I can just bring it back to the dealership and they can have the OEM version installed.

I’m not sure where in PA that you live but there is a shop in Bethlehem that has been doing sunroofs for 40 years and have done two for me. I know the owner very well and they do highest quality work. If interested let me know and I can put you in contact to investigate the option.

The roof is not a flat piece of sheetmetal, it has deep groove channels in it that make adding a sunroof after the fact a near impossibility.

whether or not the sunroof is OEM doesn’t effect whether or not it will seal properly. The fact is, youre cutting a hole in something that wasn’t designed to have a hole. Whoever does the install will have a challenge ensuring proper seal. There’s also the interior retrofit to deal with. like has been said. All things are possible with money. But itll be costly to get it to look OEM.

if i were you this is what i’d do. Order a 2023 Mav with a sunroof. When it comes, flip the one you just bought. Unless santa delivers some chips to Ford, its very unlikely you wont be able to break even on the flip, if not make a buck or two.
