How can I reprogram the recirculating function in climate control system?

Hey Ford -- how about telling us how to reprogram the Climate Control System so that the person who OWNS the car can decide when they want to recirculate the air in the cabin and when they want fresh air. In basic terms, I want to LEAVE THE RECIRCULATE FUNCTION ON without running Max AC in the middle of winter. Not too much to ask with all the pollution being generated by the diesel trucks on the roads.

I don't even have my Maverick yet, but this is something that annoys me, even as someone who ordered all the ADAS stuff. It just seems like one of those things that doesn't need "optimizing". Just let the occupants of the vehicle control their own HVAC or at least offer a full manual mode.

Anyone find a fix yet? I pass the LA river in 3 different places that smell like sewage on my commute to work. I’d rather not pump that through my air vents.

I want to add myself to the queue. If the system can remember the fan and temperature settings, can’t it also remember this one as well? Small annoyance that I face every time I use my hybrid.

I've noticed that when I start the Mav with the Ford Pass app on my phone it is in recirc mode. If I start it with the start button I then have to push the recirc button.

BTW I believe all cars go to 'fresh air' mode when the key is off to prevent suffocation if the is a refrigerant leak from the AC.

Ok here's the cynic in me. When you bring in outside air it will impact the life of the cabin air filter. Perhaps a way for Ford to maximize replacement of these.
