Thanks for the great info provided by those of you who've been tracking your Mav's from Hermosillo to different parts of the country. For those of us around Houston here is what I can share. My Maverick was shipped from Hermosillo on 11-27 and arrived at UP's Westfield yard (near Spring, TX) on 12-5. Nine days is pretty good travel time. My dealer, Classic Ford - Galveston, let me know when my Mav arrived at Westfield. We, as customers are paying a prepaid freight charge that is a flat charge and called equalized freight. That is on our sticker as our "Destination & Delivery" charge of $1,495. Ford, and not the individual dealership still controls the delivery our our Mavericks from Westfield to our dealerships. In the Houston area this will most likely be Sierra Mountain Express (SME) - a California company that is owned by Bill Scanlon and has relationships with a number of car manufacturers - including Ford. SME takes most of the Bronco Sports, Edges, and Mavericks from Westfield to our dealerships. How long might this take? Depends on a number of variables - how long to fill a carrier and then drive it down the roads to our dealerships. Maybe give SME ten days from the date it was delivered to Westfield. Another transport company in Houston is Hanson and Adkins but they apparently move trucks like the F-150. So, have patience and give SME ten days then expect a call from your dealership. Then give them a call - we are the customers in this new process of buying a vehicle. If I learn more I'll share it. Good luck to us all!
