Just signed up and want to say hello.

:wave

So I selected this forum over another as I noticed there is a Ford participant--good, bad, or indifferent. Glad to see them here.

Currently am enjoying my F150 that will be five years next month. Not ready to part with it yet. When I bought it, I made the plan to keep for ten years or 150k miles. My F150 is over 80k miles already. Several drives to Colorado and NC will do that to mileage. Of the four pick-ups I've owned, it's the best. So, considering the Maverick is an easy decision.

My choice would be the AWD with 4k towing XLT.

So, in time I suppose. But for now, I'll just enjoy the mods to your Mavericks you guys are posting. One topic I'm interested in is the affect a 2-inch lift kit and aggressive off-pavement tires have on average mpg.

Welcome. Lots of great post here on what many have done with their trucks. Lots of grumbling too. Try to skip over those and read all the great work/ideas people have done/want to do with their trucks.

Oh and you can grumble too. Just be ready to either fight back or use the ignore option.

Welcome, I dont have mine yet and I do plan to lift it and put mud tires to just ATs on it. After the first set of 235s is gone of course. From what I heard mileage on a FX4k, like what I ordered, ends up dropping to low-mid 20s. I figure 23mpg is damn good for a 4x4 lifted truck.

Hi I am from Clarksville area. Love My Maverick. Lariat Lux, FX4, 4kTow, 2.0l. I have not seen any other Mavericks in area, dealer said several have been sold. I get over 28mpg hi way and 24-26mpg around Clarksville. This has been the best vehicle I have owned since the 1989 van I bought when I was in Germany.

Nice! I live in Clarksville '98-13 as I was initially stationed at Fort Campbell. Was at Campbell '87-'89 too. I'm over in Portland since late '15 after a short time in Colorado. Your Maverick is equipped how I would order one. Any chance your '89 van was a Chevy Van? I had three of those with the last being an '88.

My van was a plymouth grand voyager minivan. Other vans of the time looked like cutoff regular vans. Check with Bryan Thomas at Jenkins & Wynne, phone 931-538-7000 tell him that Mike C. referred you. He has been a great help and friend after the sale. He is also retired military. New orders will start in August. You may be able to get on the list for 2023. Ford sold out on both the ecoboost and the hybrid for 2022. Talk with Bryan and maybe we can all meet at dealership and you could test drive mine.

I had 7 Econolines myself. Second generation vanner. 2 4x4s, 1 extended, 1 fool injected hi top, and 3 home built interiors. And 1 "Best 4x4" trophy with a Chevy van on it from the Vanners on The Enterprise StarTrek themed Van-in 2014 in Ohio. I was just thinking yesterday how I dont miss filling up the 38gallon tanks on my last 78 4x4 460 E250. Got around 8 mpg(9 mpg if I kept it under 55)

Way cool!

My first van bought in '82 was a '69 Econoline. Ugly thing. Some kind of bland tan but was originally red; so, the door jams were red. Sold it after about year and bought my first Chevy Van.

Got ya. Yeah, with the two boys growing back in the 90's, they got to pimp around in a Ford Aerostar and then the Oldsmobile Sihouette.

After riding today, I went up to the Ford dealer in Franklin to get a close look at a Maverick. It's a FWD with the 8-speed and got to drive it. They are not negotiating and want MSRP plus tax. I already miss the old days when each dealer had about 25 of each model on the lot.

MSRP is probably the best you will see. Many dealers are charging hundreds even thousands over MSRP. If its still there and you really want a Maverick you probably should have bought it. It wont stay on dealer lot for very long.

I love vans but out here in the middle of the ocean its hard to find good classics. The one I brought over had a fire. Still got it, but its only good for chassis and driveline parts now. Kinda hoping the Maverick family expands to enfold the Transit Connect. Would be nice to have a turbo 25mpg van with a decent 4wd system.
