My Maverick was built 2/28 and shipped on 3/6. It has still not been delivered. That’s 56 days and counting. It’s sitting at the Norfolk Southern rail yard in Petersburg, VA, and has been for 9 days now. Ford Marketing is no help , they come back on the line excited saying that my vehicle is in transit- no kidding!!The dealership has no better information than what I am getting. Does anyone have any contact information I could use to find out when it may get to the dealership? The Ford tracker keeps pushing it out when it misses the last deadline. I really need my truck as my current truck has 291,000 miles on it and I am afraid to drive it out of town!!Thanks on advance for any contact information.

My truck sat at that yard for a little over a week. I learned to watch the tracker, I knew something was up as I was watching it multiple times a day. Any time you see the date change on the status (no other info changed), the truck has moved. I saw the date change, but no new info and I called Ford, they told me what they said to you. I called my sales agent, she said the following week. I got a call that afternoon from the Manager and the truck had been delivered.
Good Luck

Mine was built in February. I was following it until it got to a rail yard in Los Angeles. When they moved it off of the train and onto a truck for final delivery to Nor Cal, nothing ever got updated. 4 days later, after I completed the purchase and drove it home, it was still showing as being in that LA rail yard.

Ford doesn't have control of the yards. There are myriad reasons that could delay the process of getting product through it.

Freight takes time and is not a customer friendly situation. There is no one to contact unless the vehicle were to go missing. As long as they know where it is, you have to wait.

Edit:

A rough idea of how rail shipping works for these trucks:

  • Built in Hermosillo, Mexico.
  • Sent to shipping yard/rail yard - where it can sit for weeks.
  • Transit on rail - this took my truck about a week.
  • Dropped off at receiving yard - where it can sit for weeks.
  • Carrier picks up truck at yard - car shipping was the worst consumer experience of my life.
  • Carrier takes to dealership - this can be a quick trip or a week.
Rail shipping is extremely cheap but it isn't fast.

Now, there are some situations where trucks are being taken by carrier directly from manufacturing and delivered to the border states. Which is a much faster process.

P.S.

If I remember, Ford considers the truck shipped once it is dropped at the receiving yard and is out of their hands.

I had that issue too. Mine was built in February 2024 and delivered on Good Friday ( end of March) I was able to track it until it hit the rail yard with the ford tracking email. I was curious about that so I asked like you and was told that there was an issue with the US site and to try the Canadian site for tracking now I don't know that website address anymore ,but it did work so if you can figure out the Canadian version of the tracking site you may be able to see where your truck is and get better information. It was very accurate right down to dealership delivery. Good luck I know it sucks waiting but it's worth it in my opinion 😉

Rich, Thanks for your reply. I was able to find the CA version of the tracking website, and, hopefully, it is more accurate. It is showing dealership delivery by 5/6 2024. Fingers crossed. Thanks for your insight. Phillip
