Howdy folks, Cisco here.

Long time reader and a first-time poster. I recently purchased my 23 Area 51 XLT Hybrid Maverick from a private seller because I couldn't wait for my 23 Area 51 XLT, BAP, Luxury, Hybrid Maverick that I ordered on 9/22. My 2011 Mini Cooper S, became unreliable as my work travel increased. I still have mine on order and am trying to switch to a Lariat Trim. I had the opportunity to drive both now, and the seats on the Lariat are a bit more comfortable. I've only owned the truck for 2 days now, but I am glad I could pick it up. I know I paid more than it's worth; however, this truck is brand new. The owner decided he didn't want it anymore, so I titled it with only 119 miles on the odometer.

Looking forward to learning from the forums.

Congrats from TX way. Truck looks great and yes, many off the dealer lots have from 50-80 mi brand new, so you do have a new truck. Looks great and glad you are aboard the forum. Keep everyone posted on how its going.

It takes time I have done alot to my Maverick hope to finish it up this summer with some graphics. One of the first things I did was reprogramming the key fob so you just push it once to open all the doors not twice. Again a Big Welcome

My dealer told me a car or truck with 49 miles or less is considered new. Anything with 50 miles or over is used.

It is considered used, because it was already titled by the original owner. Either way, it only had 71 miles on it when I test-drove it and 119 when I took ownership.

Unless the seller coerced you somehow, you must have paid what it was worth to you based on your current facts and circumstances. If you need a vehicle right now you may pay more than if you want a vehicle if the price is right.

There is a time for competitive price shopping and a time to pay the man.

You sure did get a very pretty truck that gets truly amazing fuel economy. Make sure you try the Sport Mode, it comes with a sound track that will help remind you of your MiniCooper. The Maverick is THE best automotive bargain out there. From now on, it's fair winds and following seas. Enjoy!

Considering the market, I thought it was a fair price, I essentially paid Lariat pricing for an XLT, which, again, is a win in my book. Ironically, I just tested Sport mode, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It's not my Mini, however, it definitely changes the responsiveness of the truck. I won't run it very hard until I "break in" the engine. Not even sure if that is a thing anymore, but I will baby it for about 500 miles. However, fuel efficiency was my primary goal and I am currently averaging over 40 mpg.
