Hello From Southeast Texas

I just bought a used 2022 Ford Maverick xlt with the 2.0 ecoboost turbo charged engine. I'm a retired 25 year veteran steel mill maintenance welder. I'm also a Navy veteran and I live in Southeast Texas.

Welcome aboard and first of all thank you for serving our country. Not many days go by that I do not and pray for our service members, both active and retired. Glad you are in the Maverick family. My wife has one and I have one and we both love them. I am almost completely retired and will be so in another 3-4 months, so have been practicing retirement by travelling in Motor Home.

I have lived in Orange for a few years and worked every zip code in TX when i did work for HUD. East TX is beautiful, but a bit hot the closer you get to the coastline.

Well, Tennessee is close enough that we will just consider you guys to be Northeast Texas. You are one lucky rascal to live so close to the Great Smokies. Was there last fall and spent a week in our Motor Home. When I was a kid, mom and dad went there EVERY year on vacation. It has changed some around Gatlinburg, but still one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Was there last fall and spent a week in our Motor Home. When I was a kid, mom and dad went there EVERY year on vacation. It has changed some around Gatlinburg, but still one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Looking at buying some land or a house up in the North. East corner around Johnson City . Who knows maybe we will get to meet sometime in a Maverick get together or ??? . What part of NE Texas? We have a meet coming up next Saturday at Plano, north of Dallas. I also have lived north of Longview at Ore City and have worked every zip code in TX for over 30 years doing HUD foreclosures. We spend lots of time on Lake O Pines near Jefferson and was there three weeks ago.
