We ordered a Hybrid XLT last September for our son who graduates HS this year. Fast forward to this month and we had already realized his wasn't coming any time soon. So we searched and found a used XLT EB AWD in Iconic Silver and picked it up for him.

Original plan was to wait for the hybrid and sell it to make some of the $ back that we spent on our son's Maverick. Problem is, I really liked the little truck. So, his order was changed to a Lariat EB AWD in A51for me. I just followed that up with a request to change it to a Tremor in AG but we'll see if I've bothered my salesperson too much lol! If it's meant to be, she'll get it changed. And see advantages and disadvantages of both builds so I'll be happy either way.

Plan is to build a trailer pretty quick to put a RTT on as my wife and I have always loved camping. This should perfectly fulfill those duties as well be a great vehicle to take out to the beach.

Hard to say. Still work for a living so much of what we'd like to do is far, far away from us. Once we're able to retire in 5-7 years(hopefully) we can look at some longer trips out west. For now, something in the southeast will have to suffice.

Welcome to Maverick land. Whichever one you wind up with will be great. Hope your son enjoys his. Keep us posted. Love multi-Maverick families. My wife has an XLT A51 hybrid loaded and I have an Alto Blue Lariat hybrid loaded and we both love them. Just got to lake yesterday 6 hours away and averaged 43 mpg highway driving behind motor home. Getting flat tow equipment in a couple weeks to hook it up and that Mav will get fabulous mileage when not running LOL.

Hard to say. Still work for a living so much of what we'd like to do is far, far away from us. Once we're able to retire in 5-7 years(hopefully) we can look at some longer trips out west. For now, something in the southeast will have to suffice.

Understandable. As for the southeast, we are based in Mississippi and a couple destinations around the south we frequent include Hot Spring, AR (great roads scenic drives), Dallas (so much to do), and the Natchez Trace Parkway ( a drive-through three different states with lots to do on the way)

Lived in Kissimmee for 21 years. Our best vacations were spent in CCC cabins in the state parks in Georgia and North and South Carolina. Just head a different direction every day. visited a LOT of Civil War spots.

Moved down from GA so we're pretty well acquainted. Love Vogel. Prob be one of the first places we try to get back to just for the camping.
