Have VIN but status is "Order Processing" and No Scheduled Production Week? (Canada)

This is a Canadian order where we don't get update emails and need to either get updates from Ford Chat or Dealer.

Every scheduling week I have been checking Ford chat to see if I have been scheduled including this week. Every time I have either got "Order Processing" or something similar.

To my surprise yesterday I got an email with my VIN from my dealer. VIN is 86xxx, so I looked it up on the order tracking and the last update was 07/13 which corresponds to the day it would have been scheduled based on the VIN's posted that week.

Here is the interesting part though, on the order tracking there is no "Scheduled Week Of" and talking to Ford chat with the VIN they still say that it is in "Order Processing"

Has anyone seen this before? I know that the tracker is not always accurate and that USA orders get the VIN and Scheduled week at the same time. I am just a bit concerned that even that chat doesn't say it is scheduled.

Did the dealer send you the order # and Vin#? if so go to Ford.ca and sign in go to check order status from the pull downs in top rh side enter #s should give more info
Also your dealer should have on their order processing screen the schuduled build week (if is)

Odd that chat isn’t showing scheduled. I know that the tracker typically takes about a month after you get scheduled to finally update beyond processing. Not sure if Canada is using a different tracker than USA.

Yes, that is where I found out the last time it was updated. I sent the dealer a message waiting to hear back.

Maybe since its a bit of a unicorn(XL, Hybrid, Trailer Hitch, SIBL) they decided to give me a VIN but not schedule it, lol.

I got an email from Ford (not my dealer) with a vin and build date. It went from "scheduled week of x" to "order processing" about a week after that initial email, and stayed like that for months until about a week before my truck started to be produced.

If Ford chat is also saying it's still processing, that is strange. I talked to them when mine switched, and even though it said order processing , Ford chat still had the correct info. Maybe give them a few days to catch up before asking again.

You have a VIN and it works with your order number. So, I wouldn't worry just yet. Won't be until late-August to September until it does anything worth looking at anyway.
