Not sure that’s true for decreasing life of engine. Lots and lots of engine builders don’t even put them in. I’m under the camp it’s just gonna cause more nvh. Seems like a lot of other things can get you added power. Unless you’re wanting a high hp build.You get increased nvh.
However you shorten the life of your engine due to said vibrations.
you can opt for a fluidamper if you were bent on doing it.
