How are you going to see in the bed while you're driving?
just glance in the rear view mirror but can't see anything without the bed light being on

@fordmaverick4life I’m currently researching a solution to this. Don’t even pay attention to the waste-of-life bootlickers saying “iTs ThE LaW” or that you shouldn’t be able to turn on a light bulb if you want to. Absolute morons, don’t address them.

Now, the cargo light is powered by the BCM connector C2280F, Pin7 labeled “puddle lamp”. The headlight control switch connector C205 pin12 sends the cargo switch signal to the BCM C2280F pin21. The BCM is what enforces the law. Theoretically you can add a jumper From pin21 to pin7 on the C2280F and the switch will bypass the BCM.
The only thing is I think the physical oem switch is momentary, not toggle, so it may or may not work for what you want exactly I’m not sure. You’d have to use a multimeter to test all this out.
