Well at least you can touch it or see it. My Mav is still in the FORD's Guf, has VIN but not in production as of yet. Se la vie..
That sucks too. Feel free to come visit mine at the dealership if you want.
And hopefully the unknowing continues for many more months, I certainly don't care now!
I didn't ask you to care. I was just posting. I would like to

What does this even mean? You cared before? A rando online doesn't like my story, of frustration and hijinx? Let me sit down and reflect on my choices.

Seriously I'm broken up that you no longer care.

I feel your pain. The Chevy Bolt I put a deposit on last July is still sitting at the dealer waiting for it's new battery. I stopped by to visit it last week.

The "looney clogging up borders" part of this weird time line are Truck Drivers giving up their
livelihoods for what they believe in whether any of us agree or not. Guess who transports the parts you need for your Maverick, The "looney" Truck Driver.
It’s already messing with the factories in the Detroit area and will most likely effect other plants too. It’s like the perfect storm to screw up production. First a pandemic. Then no one wants to go back to work and make what they did before the Covid checks. Parts shortages and world trade stopping. Now trucks protesting. What next an asteroid hit Mexico. It’s not a great time for manufacturing. I work in the construction field as a mechanic and even Caterpillar is having problems. They stock something like 97% of parts you would need. That’s something that they took pride in years ago. Today it’s a different story. Simple things like fuel filters are tough to get never mind emission parts. A lot of the emission parts or random modules I’m finding are made in Poland, Chec Republic, Ukrain and other Eastern European countries. So if Putin invades that’s another thing to mess this up. It’s gonna be a long rough road. I’m with you I have a July 19 order and I don’t even have a VIN or any other info besides the initial order conformation.

Yes, indeed.. and he's like one of about 83 threads like this per day. The Maverick must be a lot of people's first car - or first NEW car - or something. From someone who has owned dozens, all of which have had recalls and issues, etc.. none of this seems really out of the ordinary. They do not stop production to send parts.

I know right? I didn't think the post was controversial, just a frustrated take on waiting. But I do come across as a jerk, like half the time.

I have posted exactly one time in this forum, which was once more than I needed to know that most people are only here to talk about themselves and/or berate the original poster.
Personally, I think it sucks that they drilled a hole in your gas tank and you can't drive your new truck. That's super frustrating. Also, your sense of humor about it is fantastic! Keep it up! And next time you visit your truck please tell it I say "what's up"
