The 2022 Ford Maverick has proven to be a hot commodity with a diverse array of new-vehicle shoppers thus far, to the point where Ford was forced to stop taking orders for the 2022 model year after it was quickly overwhelmed by the demand for the affordable and fuel-efficient compact pickup. But while the Maverick is available with a large number of options and configurations, as well as exterior hues, fans of the color red only have one choice at the moment – Hot Pepper Red – which is what prompted a customer of Long McArthur Ford in Salina, Kansas to have the dealer wrap their 2022 Ford Maverick in Race Red.
Race Red is available on a number of other Blue Oval products, and it’s more of a traditional, bright hue compared to the darker Hot Pepper Red. Since the company that purchased this particular Maverick has a fleet full of bright red trucks, it needed something a bit different, and the dealership was happy to oblige. Needless to say, the finished product looks pretty darn good.
So far, the Maverick has proven to be quite popular with business owners of all kinds, mostly thanks to its low price tag, high efficiency, compact size, and utility. We’ve also seen at least one converted for security use, though the pickup figures to be a very popular option in that particular field once production catches up with demand.
When that will happen is anyone’s guess, because at the moment, the new Maverick is one of the most commonly marked up new vehicles on the market, and with many owners flipping them for a profit, it’s also one of the fastest-selling used vehicles, too.
We’ll have more on the Maverick soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Maverick news and continuous Ford news coverage.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

We think Race Red should be a color choice on the Ford Maverick. One of local businesses only runs red trucks in their fleet so we had it wrapped for him.
