Just wanted to post about my good experience picking up my Maverick. I also wanted to post a few pictures of my Maverick Lariat in Alto blue. I haven’t seen too many with that color and the wheels I chose.

I ordered the end of September and it took almost exactly 8 months to arrive (Ecoboost). I ordered from Doug Ball at Autonation Ford in south Fort Worth. I never had to put a deposit down. They honored price protection without even a question. They didn’t add any dealer add-ons or hidden fees, just straight MSRP. They also let me use the interest rates that were available when I ordered the vehicle, which saved me a lot of money.

Overall, I was really happy with the experience. If you are in the DFW area, give Doug a call at 817-838-4426. Tell him I told you to call and he will take great care of you.

So far I have added several accessories already. Most of these I had already ordered and they were just waiting on the truck to arrive… 😎
  • Added Ford Stainless letters to tailgate
  • Installed Ford Hard Tri-Fold Bed cover (works great, got it for 20% off).
  • Ford Bed mat (had to cut out holes for front tie downs).
  • Ford Splash Guards (not pictured, easy to install)
  • Changed Cargo, Reverse, and Third Brake Light to LED (highly recommend).
  • Added Tailgate Assist (now I just need a better tie-down solution for the tailgate).
  • Applied Armor Shield Ceramic Coating from Avalon king (easy to do, I recommend it).
  • Added Cerakote Ceramic Trim Coating (also easy).
  • Installed LED bed lighting from Amazon. Used Ford”s 12v wiring in the back. (Probably the hardest of everything to install, but not too bad. Makes a huge difference).
  • Added a cubby bank and magnetic phone mount for my iPhone (cubby was from AkroHD on Etsy).
  • Cut a 2X8 for bed divider. Painted black and added handles.
  • Added Auto Start/Stop Elimination from 4Dtech.com. Super easy to install and remove if need be. Defaults the button to off and works great.
  • Had the front two windows tinted with ceramic tint ($130, not in pictures).
I think I am done for awhile. 😀 Next thing will probably be a dash cam. So far, I am really enjoying this truck. The ecoboost is really peppy and fun to drive. I really like the seats in the lariat and the adaptive cruise is awesome. If I had one complaint, it would be the screen quality and resolution is terrible. The backup camera is also bad, although that might be just the screen resolution. They both look terrible compared to my wife‘s 21 Escape. But that’s pretty much my only complaint. My wife keeps trying to steal it from me because she thinks it‘s more fun to drive than her escape.

I used these lights from Amazon. I ended up mounting them to the underside of the bed cover rails on each side. There was a little metal that was the perfect size.

I watched this YouTube video first and he goes through the whole process and uses the same lights. He mounts his to the underside of the plastic bed rails on the truck.

If you don't mind, could you share the Brand, Part # and URL you used for:
  • LED lights for the Cargo, Reverse, and Third Brake Light
  • LED bed lighting
  • Cubby bank and magnetic phone mount for iPhone

These are the exact Lasfit Cargo and Third Brake light LED lights I used from Amazon. Much brighter than stock.

These are the Alla reverse LED lights I used. Also much brighter than stock. I used these because they were cheaper than the Lasfit version if I remember right. They worked fine.

This is the exact cubby bank I use from the seller on Etsy.
https://www.etsy.com/listing/119012...ick_sum=dbfd47c3&ref=shop_home_active_6&frs=1

If you buy that cubby bank and want to mount a phone, you will also need to make sure you add the 17mm mounting ball option. when you order it.

Then I bought this phone mount on Amazon. It uses a 17mm ball mount, so it works great with his ball mounts. You just take it off the sticky mount that they include and it attaches right to the 17mm ball mount from his cubby bank. Note, that this mount only works if you have an iPhone with Magsafe.

The Etsy seller above also sells phone mounts directly from his store that work with his cubby banks, if you prefer that. They don't use magnets, so they would work with any phone.

Here is another Cubby Bank he sells that may actually be even better, because it uses the FITS system, so you can easily remove the phone mount. Again, just either add the 17mm ball mount and order the phone mount at Amazon or just order one of his phone mounts.
https://www.etsy.com/listing/119013...=shop_home_recs_3&frs=1&variation0=2579949313

I will take some better pictures of the phone mount and post soon.

I love the Alto Blue - when it looks blue (not so much when it looks black).

The lettering you put on the back looks great.

Here are the links for the LED bed lighting...

Here are a couple pics of where placed the lights and the on/off switch.

I actually agree with you. I would have preferred a slightly lighter blue, but not as bright as the Velocity blue. Oh well, I still really like it.
