Great experience picking up my Maverick and My Add-ons so far…

I would be fine buying the pair myself, but I don’t think he is making anymore. The first time I messaged him, he told me he would put me on a list if he ever made more. The second time I contacted him to see if he was going to make anymore, he didn’t even respond…

Yeah, that presents a problem. Another option: there was one guy here who modified the existing tie-down so that it would work. Try using "tie-down" in the search box. Hopefully, you'll find him.

As a less elegant solution, I just put the two bolts back into the tailgate and then keep my tie-down and an extra T30 screwdriver I bought for $8 in the bed cubby. Then when I need the tie-down, I can just reattach it in a minute or so then remove it again when I’m done.

If I was using them every day I’d consider some other solution, but I get far more use out of the tailgate assist and can deal with reattaching the tie-down as needed.

Oh, I really, really like the phone mount cubbyhole idea. I went ahead and ordered this model from the guy (with the phone mount add on).

That's something that didn't occur to me. Great idea if you're not using that tie down all the time! "They" weren't kidding when they declared this time in our history as the Age of Information. I didn't really grasp the full meaning of that at the time (80"s) but it is certainly come to be true. Thanks for the post.
