Ordered my Hybrid XLT Mav Mid-July. Been following MTC for months as I waited for my truck. I learned a LOT from you all-- about constraints (I dropped the SIBL and the mud flaps), learned about the Ford 800 customer service number (which was really important because I'm one of those orders that never ever got an email from Ford, not even a confirmation of my order) and later, once I had a VIN, learned how to track the progress of the build which, like most of us, got pushed back.
If somebody from Ford Motor Company is following, let me strongly suggest that you need to figure out how to fix the communication problem. I always knew there would be delays with a new model, but the lack of communication over the last 8.5 months was extremely frustrating and the allocation system makes absolutely no sense from the perspective of your customers-- which, as a stockholder, I can tell you is where your focus should be as you move forward with electrification.
My truck was built at the end of February and exactly one-month to the day it was dropped off at my dealer. I know many of you had serious issues, but let me say that my dealer (Bozard Ford in St Augustine, FL) was great. There were absolutely no games, they gave me a fair value for my trade, accepted my Z plan without question, and I got a good interest rate on my loan. When they took my order they wanted my drivers license, but never required a deposit-- which was really nice given the length of time until delivery.
Bottom line is that I got my truck. And I got it just the way I wanted!
It really can happen. Hang in there everybody.
