Well got an email from Ford today!

Not from my Maverick order, but my Wife’s Bronco that I ordered last week that is full of constraints (hard top and lux package)

Ford scheduling works in mysterious ways I guess haha

It's something. I'm hoping the "Recall on hold" page disappearing from Ford's website bodes well for my Explorer.

Indeed. It baffled me.

I told my wife “if you have 1% desire to order it, let’s do it and most likely we’ll get it in 2024-2025” (me thinking on how the Bronco and Maverick order scheduling has been and the order banks being closed for a while)

Surprise to us, she gets scheduled the following week

I went in to talk to my Ford dealer and they seem to preparing me for disappointment. The service manger was talking about an F150 order like yours that he got quickly and a sales person that ordered an easy f150 build and his order took 6 months +. He like it doesn’t make any sense. I couldn’t nail him down on his best guess if I will get built at all. Crazy F150 are selling for 10k off MSRP now.
