gator sfx tonneau cover removal

Good afternoon everyone. I recently purchased a new bed cover. Took a 4 hour trip with it, in the rain, and the cover held up perfectly. The only issue I had was the flapping. After reviewing the install guide, I mounted the cover too close to the window. I attempted to remove the cover but as I was loosing the threads, they didn't budge. Has anyone dealt with removing one of these things, and if so, could you pass along your wisdom? Thanks!
