Appears to look like you will get a little more interior space in the Maverick vs. the Ranger. I think I have seen posts where the backseat legroom was better in the Maverick. Better cab design in Maverick, again looking at exterior pics.

Yes, the interior cabin space is bigger on the Maverick due to the unibody design. With the traditional truck on frame design, you are losing about 3 or 4 inches of vertical space because that is the thickness of the frame and the cab sits on top of the frame.

The maverick genuinely doesnt look that much smaller than the ranger. I know its shorter but when it comes to width and height its not that far off. Doesnt seem so atleast. Obviously the bed is far deeper given the tailgate size difference. Overall though its closer than I thought.

On display today at Inver Grove Ford (in MN) was this Cactus Gray lined up with a Ranger, F150 and Super duty. This is a Lariat 2.0 AWD w/ tow package. Pics by >°•°<

And that's an Area 51 Bronco lurking in the back :)

I find it interesting that the Ford Ranger looks like it is a completely different manufacturer when you compare all 4 trucks. Maverick, F150, F250 all have the same basic look. The Ranger appears to look more like a Chevy or GMC Colorado/Canyon.

Thanks for the reference pics. BTW That's why we are all here! Trucks are so huge and expensive they don't fit anywhere. They are the HUMMER of the 2020's. I'm 5.7 and I don't want to have to crawl up in that thing, let alone feed it gas/diesel and it would not fit in my garage. This is what has been missing since the 80/90's.

I can't freaking wait until I get my email from Mr. Ford telling me that I have one of these being built for ME!

Congratulations MR R. C. Lee
I am proud to announce that I am sourcing parts to honor your request. As soon as I get them you will have the honor of me hand building your Maverick. My welding isn't the best yet but by the time I am finished with your vehicle, I am sure I will have progressed a long way. That being said, by the time I am finished with this only hand-built Ford Maverick, you may not wish to drive it(for more than one reason) but may prefer to put it on display. In the meantime, I expect the Maverick that I ordered to be here in the late winter or early spring of 2022. I wouldn't mind coming by your place and giving you a ride a couple of times though if you needed it until I finish yours. 😂

The Ranger reminds me of the F150 from late 90's, early 2ks when they were more rounded looking.

I had an Area 51 Maverick Lariat on order. The day after I gave up and bought the Ranger, I got notice from Ford that my Maverick is scheduled to be built the week of October 11th. I expect I’ll have a couple thousand miles of my Ranger by then.

I know the Maverick is smaller than the Ranger but the grill makes it look wider.
I noticed that too, but you can definitely notice the difference from the rear view.

Remember that this Ranger came from overseas. That's why the styling is a bit off from the rest of the trucks.

I was getting ready to comment this. The Ranger, from what I recall, was designed by the Ford Australia team after leaving NA. It's interesting in how the two countries could design trucks so differently considering they all started from the 2010 style.
