Found this nice surprise under my passenger seat. Thank God I've only had one passenger ride with me so far. Don't want to think what would have happened if she had dropped something between the seat and center console .

I was wondering where I left that

Are you going to give ford your vin and have them look at it on their end?
Yes, I gave ford my info. More likely than not it was left from the factory after the carpet or seats were trimmed. Just glad my friend didn't slice her hand open.

Actually, they didn't forget to connect that wire. I'm pretty sure it's in all glove boxes. I've had one in both of my Mavs. I believe it's there for DIY projects. I remember reading somewhere in the forums what it's for.
Yes, that wire with connector is meant to be used with whatever you might want to wire up in one of your bed cubbies. Everyone should get one.

Should also have a tiny little envelope containing a mysterious little pin to be used to unengage something in the transmission in the event you need to be towed ...

It's to connect 12V to the bed.

Ah. Probably so. Someone here explained what it was exactly for, but not something I remember, other than you stick it in a hold under the center console mats and it does something to inactivate/disable something that enables safe towing if someone has to tow it and doesn't have the key. or something like that ...

I have an Ecoboost always been concerned about the electronic shifter getting towed if no power. Have not spent the time to look in the manual I probably should.

That's what I figured happened. Someone was trimming the carpet on Friday at 4:45pm and shift ended at 5:00pm, time for cerveza!
Yep, could probably happen when changing blades too, you got the pack of em and dropped one as you were rushing because you were slowed down by changing em out.

Yes, that's what the pin in the small envelope is for. Should have been in your glove box when you got the truck, along with the DIY cubby wire connector.

I'm guessing this could be from detail at the dealership? I only mention because when I worked in detail at a dealer for a short while, we had both metal and plastic razors to remove window stickers, old dealer stickers, etc. and they're bound to go missing when someone's using it. Also, my friend rented a Dodge Charger from Enterprise and found a razor like that but in a very weird spot, in the trunk jamb. How odd?

Do you have fwd or awd. I would think it should come with all models. I think it is used to get the cover off a panel to manually disengage the electronic parking brake (put it in neutral) when the battery is completely dead or some other malfunction so it is movable for towing.

Here is a video of it being used in a ford fusion. (not in english)
Not a panel like i was thinking. The ram 1500 release is behind a panel that's what i was thinking it was going to be like.
