Ford Sync Navigation while in CarPlay

I would like to use the Ford Sync Navigation maps while, at the same time, using my Apple CarPlay for other things. I've not had any luck in making that happen. I assume it can't be done, but I wanted to ask the pros in this forum. Can anyone confirm this?

Nope. You'll be stuck with whatever navigation apps are on your device. Learn to embrace Waze or the like...

I use my maps on my I phone while using CarPlay all the time.
I get my Sirius through the app on my phone
