Ford Shutting Down LAP to Retool for All New Electric Vehicle

The Louisville Assembly Plant currently makes Escapes. The shutdown will start by December 2025 and be for 8 to 10 months. So probably looking at a 2027 or 2028 model year. The new model of electric vehicle is not yet revealed.

Meanwhile, Telo is doing their thing. And now word is leaking about Jeff Bezos and his cheap BEV truck. I'd say we have some competition coming in the smaller BEV truck space. Bezos has a bottomless wallet that we all keep refilling - it's called Amazon. So this will be well funded. If it's not a monumental April Fool's joke.

i agree. have had mine 2 years now and it's a nice vehicle. had an edge as a loner for a week and hated it. ford makes some dumb moves.

yeah that was already canceled. fordauthority says less than 1000 left on lots nation wide. never really understood the difference between the edge and the escape. the edge is supposedly more "upscale" but honestly the interior seemed cheap to me, but it might have been a lower trim than my st line escape.
