Ford parts delay

Ordered July 18, delivered March 18 Hybrid Loaded Lariat. Surged and stopped beside a tree March 20. $4000 repair covered by insurance. Repair body Parts ordered March 20 by Chestatee Ford. All parts came in except left rear quarter panel. Now, two months later, and only driving 300 miles, Ford tells me the panel is still on back order. Is that a reason to avoid NEW Ford models, because they cannot provide parts in a timely manner?

No. This is a brand new, extremely in-demand vehicle. Definitely unfortunate and stinks, but this would happen with any new car/truck.

confusing post. How does "Surged and stopped beside a tree" with a $4k repair end up needing extensive body repairs like a quarter panel?

These are different times now compared to what we have seen in the past. We really have never seen anything like this and it has not gotten better yet!

Sounds like "I cant drive and hit a tree, now its Ford's fault they cant fix the truck i wrecked."
