Ford hotspot requires an upgrade??

I wanted to renew the hotspot features after my trial have ended and I went to the ATT website to renew the hotspot account and now it’s telling me my Maverick is not compatible and requires a Spark upgrade??! Have anyone else experiences this or I’m just been under a rock?!!

AT&T's Portal is broken sometimes, late night/early morning especially.
looks like the system didn't catch the IMEI of the cellular modem in the truck. (it's like a VIN # for the cellular service if you will).
What you're seeing is an ad, try again later.

You need to create an account in order to use the hotspot which I created almost 2 months ago. Once you created your ATT account you need your Vin and you get a phone number for your Maverick and ect, ect . The trial is good good 3 months or 2GB of service which ever come first. I logged into my ATT account and I do get errors which indicates a website upgrade but I did enter my VIn again since it should of save my info from before and I get a Spark upgrade which actually does a lot of neat things and it plugs into your OBD connector !! The previous post stated the webpage is going through an update

You dont need the crappy Spark dongle as the Maverick is already set up as a hot spot for 20.00 a month thru At&T.

Pretty sure the Spark is an additional charge - its listed at 79.00 per month .....

I agree, I’ll let your guys know on my outcome, owning a XL might be the issue !! Oddly I’m still getting errors on my ATT account
