Flex bed arc out

I was setting up my bed lights and hooked up the pig tail to the flex bed connector…. Tested the lighting, and then the wire arced out on the bed tie down, . No more power lol

When you were "testing" did you have connected bare wire ends of pigtail insulated or just twisted together for quick check before finishing the job? Must be some reason for the arc...
