Love my '23 XLT, wasn't crazy about the orange interior accents but since Ford Design went out of their way to make these a bit quirky, I felt - heck lets plan on extending that theme to the exterior. I also didn't like the chrome "AWD" tailgate emblem and found that the GMC Terrain/Acadia had color matched "AWD" emblems, so I peeled off the chrome, stuck on the Black. I found these Maverick letters on eBay, black over a very thin orange background, liking them more since applying them!! I also have a hood graphic on the way that has a bit of orange in it, that will be step 2.

Also my XLT only came with front mats and as we all know, no tailgate assist. Tailgate got away from my wife once as our Canyon had it and she was used to the ease of opening the tailgate. So, fix number one, added Smartliner front and rear all season mats, was impressed with the fit and just $129 from Amazon. Then in ten minutes I added the Klutchtech tailgate assist, was only $28 also on Amazon. Thanks for adding me.

I like the Smartliners also. They are basically the same thing as WeatherTech but much cheaper. If you like the tailgate assist, you would probably like the hood struts also.

Fellow smartliner owner and fully pleased with the material extra coverage areas and made in the USA origin. I did chrome lettering from oem Ford parts and used reward points for the purchase. I went with Dee Zee for the tailgate assist. I had to read the instructions twice since it was a tricky install.

So, carrying on with my extension of the interior orange accents to the exterior, I ordered from Rocky Mountain Graphics, a Matte black hood decal trimmed in orange. I also took 1/8" orange pinstriping and outlined the grill insert. This ties in the rear lettering I found for the embossed tailgate lettering that is black with an orange outline. My mind went, what if Ford got mildly carried away with the orange highlights thing!! Black AWD emblem is from a 2023 GMC Terrain/Acadia.

I really like the black AWD emblem. I might have to look one of those up and make the switch. I’m considering doing that and ordering the black ford emblems for the front and rear as well.

Ever since picking up my Maverick I have hated the tires. After some considerable research I went with a set of 245-65-17 Falken Wildpeak A/T's.

I can say that after a couple hundred miles the ride is decidedly different, feels more compliant, comfortable and as a bonus looks WAY more truck like then with the stock Conti's!! MPH at 80 is 2.8 MPH off but not concerned, looks are great and site an inch or so higher.
