I know several members have plastic coated the chrome on the XLT fender badges with success, but has anybody attempted to remove the chrome with the Zep Purple? I know several have used the Purple on their taillights with success. I’ve looked through endless threads, but I haven’t seen this mentioned. The info is appreciated.

Any update on removing the chrome?

Or does a whole new vent need to be sourced?

Easy Off Oven cleaner in the yellow can will remove it. Tape everything off and spray it with the cleaner and let it sit in the sun for 10-15 minutes and it’ll come right off with a plastic brush
