They might if it comes down to an "extra" like providing a loaner or out-of-warranty goodwill repair.
Dealers don't do either of those things here. No loaners available. And if your vehicle's out of warranty, you're going to pay.

And service departments only look at your warranty, not where you bought the warranty or the vehicle.

If you want to pay an outrageous price for an official Ford extended warranty, when you can pay less, by all means, do so.

It shouldn’t matter

but above he said none do it around there, probably true in my area. But Toyota was a good deal for me, they always gave a loaner no matter how petty

it’s the warranty. You can skip buying your extended warranty from your dealer and pay MUCH LESS for one at Granger Ford in Iowa. I bought a 22 with 34k miles on it. My dealer wanted $3500 for the warranty and Granger was $1500 for the premium plan.

this is a Ford warranty product so every Ford service center has to honor it.
It is NOT the extended warranty. I'm talking about buying a vehicle from Granger and how local dealers could respond to doing warranty work and other service since I didn't buy it from them.

Alright so it’s how I thought you meant, my experience is dealers don’t even know where the warranty was bought, it just shows them under warranty etc. so will be treated same at all dealers, in fact if they refused service call ford and they will get slapped

ford is the ultimate provider of warranty, your money went to ford, regardless where you buy it, the dealers just profit ontop. Some 25 ie granger or 1000 at other dealers

Ah…well either way if you have the ford warranty you can go to any dealership. Service departments just want to bill thier hours

The last 3 Fords (2 Edges and an Escape) I have bought were "Ford Certified" cars. I search online and buy after a visit to check the car out. Each was bought at a different dealer, 30 or more miles from my home. With Ford Certified your 36 get stretched to 48 and your 60 gets stretched to 100,000. No problems at the dealer I go to, 2 towns away. Will never go back to the local dealer chain closest to my home. Went in for a valve stem that was not reading.... Can you believe they did not have the part in stock. WTF....
