I wonder if anyone else has experienced paint match issues on accessories that are supposed to be "Paint code matching"? I have some items from Tufskinz and a set of side moldings from Dawn but I don't like the paint match! Maybe I am a little Anal, I try not to be, and I know the EG almost color changes based on sunlight and position on the body. But these accessories looked a lot more Jade green in them than the EG. In some light they seem to match then in other light, NOT!

I was going to paint the set of Air design side moldings that I just got but now I'm afraid to do that with paint supplied from one of the paint match companies. I know they always tell you to paint a test item, but I don't know if that really works due to the paint being put on a different material for testing. Let me know!

I'd buy my paint from Ford personally. It's more expensive, but it's from the source and that can be worth the spared hassle.

Paints are getting a lot more tricky ... Colors with metallics and pearl can look way different depending how the flakes lay down as the paint dries

To save some money, a friend had the front of his "Milano red" Honda repainted with 2-stage (regular clearcoat over red) paint instead of the OEM 3-stage which was a purple-tinted clear over an almost orange base coat. In daylight it looked fine, but under streetlights it was 2 completely different colors
