I've been offline for a few weeks, just making a weekly Friday morning call to customer service to see if I have a VIN yet.

I saw a few posts referencing production emails.

Are we back to getting those? Are those people being emailed by their dealer as opposed to corporate?

I'll likely be calling weekly either way, just curious if anything changed while I was gone.

I've never gotten emails from ford. But from what I can tell you will get a scheduled email for the scheduled week about 3.5 weeks before your schedule week. Likely already have been scheduled and have a vin weeks before that if you check with dealer or support. This is the main thing that has changed. Still get emails if the date moves around up or down after that initial one. Also get an "in production" email , a "built" email, and a "shipped" email I believe.

Again, if you get the emails. A lot of us don't.

I received an email about a week or two after I was given a VIN from the ford chat with basically the information confirmed. It gave me a VIN and an estimated build week of 05/23. When I checked on my order yesterday the chat person told me that I was actually scheduled to be built on 05/24 so I am waiting on that email to confirm that information.

You probably won't get another email until the 17th or so saying it's "in production". You should then also have a window sticker. 1-2 weeks to be "built", 1-7 days to "ship", and 3-6 weeks to show up are the averages since March that I've seen.

I'm mostly hoping just to get a VIN so I can actually start following things on the pizza tracker.

I know its a long shot to even get built this year, but I'd just like to know.

What would be nice would be if I could input my sales code and order code into the app and get status. I know the database exists, thats what customer service checks for me every week.

7 months with no input is frustrating. (Yes I know there are folks here that have been waiting longer. That doesn't mean I can't be frustrated too.)
