Electrical noise from engine after parked

While I was sitting on my porch I thought I heard what sounded like a small electrical motor turn on under the hood , only lasted 2-3 sec. Didn't think much about it until I heard it again later when I came back out? Anyone know what it is? Maybe signal location etc every so often?

Most newer cars do evaporative system tests every few hours when off.
We got the wife a new Subaru a few years ago,
Drove me nuts until I looked it up an figured it out.

It's normal. Modern cars aren't truly, fully off when the ignition is off. Hybrids make noises when parked that can be even more jarring.

I've seen mine make clunks (relays going on/off) 12 hours past when I drove it.
I've also had to jump it once from a complete dead 12v battery.
I've gotten a LOT of "12v system low so shutting off remote features) despite driving my car every day.
I don't know about other new cars, but a LOT of stuff clunks on/off long after shutting of this Hybrid. I had a Nissan Leaf (full electric) that never did all of this, ever. If it did it would be when something like it reaching full charge had been hit.

No, I don't need my barely passable radio to come on every time I open the door...

I need my truck to crank up when I hit the switch...

Get used to it, it won't get better as they age and the 12v battery gets worn down, a real shame as it doesn't crank the ICE over at all (that comes from the HV battery).

Got your keys in your pocket? In a hybrid it kicks on the pressure pump early to have it ready by the time you would start the truck. It does have a proximity to key fob but not setup to automatically unlock doors.

Every-time I got a low battery cutoff message and the times it had a totally dead battery was when it was parked close to where the keys where in the house!
Have a family member with law job ( electronic security expert) he has a faraday cage for keys and phones.
