Duplicate Order Number

Here has been my journey so far….
Ordered 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid in July 2022. Production got moved to 24 model last year.

Got truck delivered to dealership last week. Trying to get the M23-M24 rebate figured out since they said nothing was in the system so hadn’t gone to the dealership yet.

Get text from dealership yesterday saying that the vehicle didn’t match the build. Callled them, the truck received was an EcoBoost and not Hybrid! They trying to figure out….

Find out today that there was a duplicate order number issued and my actual ordered Maverick is scheduled to be built in 2 weeks.

Any reasonable requests I can ask for from Ford or dealership besides getting the M23-M24 rebate?

What else would you want? Nothing Ford will do. Any delay due to order number duplication is because of dealer, not Ford.


Make sure your private model year transition offer exists. The dealership may need to do something to get that. The duplicate order # may have interfered with the process for generating certificate for that rebate. If they just reordered your truck, that may be an issue!

Dealership should at least work to make sure your rebate offer exists.
