, with the new trailer, I thought I was getting to close to that number. Mav tows like a charm. Trailer is 13' long, 90" high and same wide.
Yes, not so fond memories of that white stuff.

Don't forget the sled haulers usually have the angled front, to reduce wind resistance...a huge deal when towing.

And better for fuel mileage, whatever Mav you tow with.

Nice snow photo, by the way...sled season is only 7 months away-ish!

Here is what the front of the trailer looks like. Decent slanted front end. Towed it home from midstate Maine (Skowhegan area) with my Escape (empty) and got about 13mpg. Towing with the Mav with 2 sleds I am getting about the same (I think). Not sure exactly what I am getting on the Mav as the snow tires are a different size. When I purchased the tires (17") it was my intention of using the snow tire rims from the Escape. But, bolts on the Mav are larger than on the Escape, so although they fit (sort of) there was no room to put the wrench over the bolt to tighten. So.. Then had to buy 17" rims for the 17" tires I had already bought. When I bought, I was told that if the speedometer was registering 65, my actuall speed would be 64.75. Thought, close enough... Not so. With speedo at 75, actually doing 72 per GPS. If I had forscan, I believe I could adjust based on the snow tire size. When I get the 50 miles left warning my gas gauge still shows almost a quarter of a tank and can usually only put in 13+ gal of gas. So, tough to figure what I am getting. Stopping 3 times on the way to Northern ME with the Mav, vs only twice with the Escape and the old clamshell trailer. Better safe than sorry. lol
