Good Afternoon everybody. I'm Danny and always use the name of my homestead as my forum name. The man that built my house in 1935 named it the LoneOak Terrace so I am the LoneOak.
I've been retired for 10 years and really want to buy me one more new vehicle in my life. I really like the looks of the Maverick and I thing it would fill my needs perfectly. I have the money to pay for a new one so finance and all that won't ever enter, I just need to best price I can get.
I want a Lariett eco-bust loaded with everything but 4 wheel drive, I don't really have a use for a $3000 option I won't use. I do want the trifold bed cover and the nice floor mats.
Now the only thing to do is wait until Ford opens the order process for the 2023 models. If anyone has any advice on the best way to go about ordering a new truck please fell free to share and I will greatly appreciate. Maybe if I get a new truck soon I can retire my tired ole 2003 Taurus, It has been treating me well for 20 years now and it is time for it to go.

Don't tell the dealer you plan to pay in cash until you are sitting at the finance person's desk as part of the delivery process. They will treat you poorly due to missing out on the kickbacks they get from financing it.

If you are strong-armed into financing it, just go with it and then pay the entire loan off as soon as you have an account number. Don't tell them you plan to do that though, since often that same kickback I talked about is not given to the dealer if the loan is less than a certain age. It is VERY rare for an auto loan to have an early payoff penalty these days. So just ensure there is no early payoff clause in the loan and then pay it off about a month after you have the truck.

Find a Ford dealer that you or friends trust & order a 23 as soon as you can. Those Taurus's are pretty reliable, My Maverick replaced my 04 Taurus which has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever had. ( I kept it as a backup car).

Welcome to the forum! You will want to make sure that you find a dealership that does not add unnecessary things to your order at outrageous prices. On a more personal security note, you may want to remove your home address from being shown on this public forum.

There is a nice country crossroad infront of the address. I looked it up just to see if this was a scam thread. Either way looks like truck country.
