I feel like I'm going crazy.. but today the warning sounds (Cancelled and the Keep Your Hands on the Wheel) are different. A bit more old school sounding, like a 16 bit video game.

Sometimes, the sound doesn't make it to the usual speakers and a lo-fi circuit board speaker acts as a backup. This happens to me occasionally with the door open-key in ignition (XL) chime. Only happens sporadically.

So it just goes back to normal for you? I'll have to see what it does later today...

Basically, there's an old school backup in the instrument cluster for the various alert chimes/tones. That's for when it's for some reason unable to play those sounds through the cabin speakers. That's why occasionally it might sound primitive and come from behind the steering wheel.

Alright, thanks. At least I know I'm not imagining things. When I first heard it, I thought some other alarm was going off.
