If you can't find a long enough tire spare bolt mounting screw with cap go to a tractor supply or equivalent and get rectangular or round metal stock or wood and a threaded rod then use a threaded insert or drill and tap a hole in the bed where you want to keep the tire. Either way the bed doesn't have permanent piece for the tire when not in use and the spare bolt can be put behind the back seat or under them.

I saw this post by @SafetyGuy in another thread and that sounds like a great idea for us in the frozen North ... putting the spare in the bed (under the tonneau) keeps it out of the snow, salt & ice and makes it easier to access if needed

Does anyone have ideas how to keep it from moving around in the bed? I'd like to keep the tire & SIBL from rubbing away at each other all winter ...
