The steps I took were:
1) Picked up the telephone
2) Call my ceramic professional who does all my cars
3) Delivered my Maverick to him

Lol.. he washed, used an iron remover, clay bared, ~3 step polish, coated painted surfaces, coated plastic exterior parts, let cure, etc.... I think my truck was there for 4-5 days.

Good luck....

.
.

Lol...thanks! 😁👍

Sir, with the Lasfit LEDs are you using them in the upper stop light on cab? And also, where did you get the auto dimming mirror? And is there power readily available to power it?

I see some familiar Adams products. I use the same on my vehicles. Is the ceramic product Adam’s also?
Thanks and keep up the great mods
RK
I apologize for not picking up on your question regarding the power source for the mirror.

I can't recall exactly from where he told me he tapped for power. He said they ran the wire through the A-pilar and into the engine bay. They didn't want to tap into the dome-lights and Moonroof wiring for power due to possibly causing electrical issues.

I really like the mirror. The compass works great and it also has the option to program it to the garage door opener. For 12 bucks, it's a win-win.

Thanks for the details. You are lucky to be close to Adam‘s for dropping in when you are running low. I really like what you are doing. Thanks again for sharing with everyone here..

Under 100 ceramic coat???? Just wash it really good, get true detailing rags packages from Amazon ( get a bunch at once, hundreds of uses, washable etc) keep any powered tools away from paint this early in ownership. Alcohol based cleaner ( i used a dish spray bottle that says spray and wipe not sure of brand) to cut wax off.
Follow directions on coating, using plenty of rags to polish. Should be good for 6 to 8 months. Practice on old beater paint job before CC like the pros do.
Results will be good, and a taste of what a full ceramic coating would look like. For most people the time/effort/cost savings is more than worth it.

Thank you for the helpful tips. So are you recommending that I not buff the paint with a polisher?

I seem to be very much in the minority, but I'm really happy that I do NOT have a self-dimming mirror in the Maverick. I've had them in several cars, and have not been happy with any of them. Either it waits too late to dim the mirror, or it leaves it dimmed for way too long. So I'm happy to just reach up there and dim it myself when I need to...

One thing I'd love to see some day is a dimmable side-view mirror on the driver's side. There seem to be a lot of people driving around at night who don't realize they're supposed to dim their lights when approaching someone from behind... The glare from that mirror just wipes out night vision! Very frustrating.

The only reason I went with a dimming mirror is due to the super bright headlights from vehicles with aftermarket LED's, HID's, Bi-xenon's, etc., that blind me when they're behind me. I have bad vision as it is, so anything that can help me with the bright glare is a necessity. I agree with you, I could've kept the factory mirror and just flipped the tab when I needed it to dim, but having a Lariat trim Maverick, I feel it should have been auto-dimming from factory.

I also would love to have dimmable side-view mirrors on my Maverick. My MKZ has them and they help tremendously. I'm sure these minor nuances will get addressed with every new iteration that comes out.

I agree, all the auto dimming rear view mirrors I’ve had never seem to work soon enough, i.e. I’m blinded by the people behind me before the mirror recognizes that it needs to dim. And they’re even worse if your rear window isn’t tinted from the factory.

For me, it’s never been a big problem to reach up to the rear view mirror and flip the toggle from day to night.

Right, way too easy to hold it not exactly flat and buff the clear coat at an angle to add uneven damage. Arms will tire way before you can do any real damage. The proper cloth/rags are most important to keep away from the dreaded swirl patterns caused by the hands on methods.

Received the OEM bed mat and swing case cargo box yesterday. I really like both of them. The swing case was pretty easy to install. I also installed some front seat covers from Coverado (didn't install the headrest covers) and the ibuddy rear seat cover to protect them from Yoda's nails.

Archie loves the bed mat. He wasn't fond of the rough texture from the spray-in liner.

And THAT is the first set of seat covers I've seen for the Maverick that didn't look like... well - you know... I REALLY like those!

(But now you gotta find matching covers for the headrests and armrest to complete the upgrade.)

I agree about the headrest covers that come included with the Coverado seat covers--they look atrocious when installed 😝.

It's going to be a tough task finding some headrest covers that match the color of the seat covers. I'm currently using the Muslogy armrest cover. Again, the color doesn't match 100%, but it fits nice and snug.

I'm going to leave everything as is for now, I don't want to have too many different shades of brown in the interior.

My next and possibly final mod, is going to be the OEM Cargo Management System Kit for the bed. I'm going to call it a wrappy-wrap after that.
