ZactlyWhat just kills my MPG is short trips with cool down periods long enough to drop the coolant below 120F. Yeah it takes longer to warm up in cold weather, but once it is warm if my driving time is much longer than the worm up time I can still hit MPGs near 50. If I have to make several stops running errands and the engine reaches ambient temp while I am out of the truck I'll be seeing MPGs in the high 30's low 40's. Winter is way worse as the ICE is running longer with the longer warm up times.
