Hey everyone, check engine light came on a few days ago. Ran the codes and it came back p0402 which is a faulty egr valve.
I was going to bring it to a dealership to get fixed but decided to do some research first. It turns out for my model year (2022, im not sure if it effects other years) normally that specific code actually means the sensor it self is bad and not the valve. The sensor is $20 and takes less than five minutes to replace while the valve itself is over a 100 and takes longer to replace
I ordered the sensor and am still waiting on it to deliver at the time of writing this. Im wondering if anybody else has experienced the same thing and if it was just the sensor or the valve itself.
