Clicking sound after backing up, then driving forward.

I've been hearing a rhythmic clicking sound sometimes when first backing up, then driving forward. It sounds like something is in the tire tread, but it's not. It will eventually go away. I've been thinking it could be a brake assembly problem or something in the drive train. Any thoughts?

Take a look at the CV joints. Check the bellow around in, any grease leaking out. When they go hic cup, they make click sounds.
