Hi all, I placed a reservation on 6/19 for my hybrid, and was the second order at my entire dealership. I had the tonneau which obviously held up my scheduling for months but I left it because of the OKT not being announced. Once it was official when hybrids could be sold I changed my order to remove the tonneau but I was at priority code 2. Obviously you can't change this so my dealer had to make a new one without the tonneau. This was on 10/15.

Now the question I have is, did this screw me over for getting a build date? My dealer says that they simply replaced my old order with a new one so I wouldn't lose my spot in line, but I don't really believe it. I am now one of 5 people left unscheduled at my dealership and the rest are eco boost orders from November. The last two weeks of scheduling I have been completely skipped while seeing August hybrids get build dates. If my date was changed to October I guess I will have no choice but to cancel because I am not waiting until May or June to receive my truck when I ordered so damn early. At that point I might as well get a 2023 because there is no point in being the last hybrid off the line for a model year when the next one is so close.

From what I understand it should not have changed your timestamp, only if you would have done it after the November cut off, in addition when your order goes into priority 2 it cannot be changed, only if it is kicked back to a priority 10-19 can the dealer then make any modifications.

My FE Hybrid order was confirmed on 7-10 and I have not changed anything and like you have been passed over many times for unknown reasons, Ford Customer service reps have told me that I could very well be scheduled for production in February or March and receive my FE Hybrid in April or May.

I don't think your decision has affected the scheduling of your build, its more likely the selection system and dealer allocations that have played a greater part. Just my opinion.

I also ordered hybrid lux xlt on June 16th, still no build date or VIN number. My dealer says they have 7 other orders and I was first. Just keep waiting.

Likely you have two orders that the dealer is going to take one for stock sale and likely first one you ordered. I would get a hold of ford customer service with your info to find out.

If your dealer placed a new order then your original date isn’t going to be good anymore, it will be the date the new order was placed. You can’t change an order once it’s a 2 priority, Tim talks about it in one of his videos. Order date does seem to mean much anyways, Ford doesn’t build them in order of date they were ordered.

it looks like the dealership probably took your original order and placed a new one. Its a win-win for the dealership because now they have an order to sell to you at low margin and an extra order to markup. As others have said, Tim/Ford Video Guy tells us not to do anything when your order gets pulled down to a priority 2. Hopefully, the dealership will do the right thing and give you the first one built but that is not in their nature. There doesn’t appear to be any way in the ordering system to create a new order and have it take over your original order date.
