Greetings Maverinos....
Just curious if you any of you have a copy of your MSO / Certificate of Origin that you wouldn't mind sharing, redacted of your vin and whatever else you feel is sensitive. My truck is used so I won't be getting one of course, I'm just curious to see what they listed for HP, GVWR and stuff like that. GM listed HP for my C8 as 52.9 which if you multiply by 8 cylinders is only 423hp...And by all intents and purposes GM has advertised it as having 495hp so I have no idea what that's supposed to mean.

Another question...is there any way to look up which dealer my truck was ordered from based on the attached window sticker? Bizarre questions, I know. My truck is less than 1yr old and has already been bought and traded in?? The salesman claims to not know anything about it's past although from CarFax, I can tell it was titled in Colorado and serviced in the same dealer network, Phil Long Ford in the Colorado Springs/Denver area that I purchased it from.

Hi Guys and thanks for your quick responses!!

Back story...I'm stationed overseas as a contractor for the military. We're allowed to bring our vehicles with us, i'm in Germany, and register them in the military system which is separated from the host country so we're not actually importing the vehicle. If you sell a vehicle to a local, they'd have to actually pay German import tax and sales taxes. Anyway, somewhere along the process, I was asked to provide a stateside address, so I gave them my mother's address in Louisiana and as of right now, the dealership wants to send the paperwork to Louisiana for titling instead of to the credit union as we discussed throughout the entire process. My loan was processed in April, I paid the dealership in early May, already made my first payment two weeks ago and was told today that the deal wasn't even sent over to the dealership's titling dept until June 1st.... This is a mess :)

I spoke with my credit union, they're very familiar with all of this and they claim that the dealer can send the info to one of two places, the DMV or the Lienholder, which is what should happen in the case as far as what I've been told. They suggest I speak to the General Manager and see if he can sort it out since the salesman and finance dept can't seem to wrap their heads around it.

So that's what I'm trying to do now but being 8hrs ahead of Colorado makes it a bit difficult. Here it is 0120 in the morning and I'm still making phone calls and getting the run around....

More to come.....
