It has been mentioned on this blog that OEM tires don't have the same tread depth when buying a new vehicle, that you would get buying new from a tire distributor for the same tire.
I have the Michelin Primacy OEM tires on my Maverick and have 14k miles on them and to tell you the truth they are not wearing that great. I just looked up the warranty and it appears there is no warranty on OEM tires from Michelin. I wish I would of knew that I would of drove the mile from the dealer to Discount tire and had them put on a good set and give me decent money for these dogs.

My 22 AWD had Michelins Primacy tires when I traded it in with 39K miles there was still decent tread on them. Guess you just got a bad set or I got a good set.
