There are SUV tents that give you the space and privacy of a large tent but it is attached to the bed of the truck allowing you to sleep off the ground. If you make a platform that sits on the wheel wells it gives you lots of room underneath for you to build drawers you can pull out with you clothes and cooking gear. Search YouTube as there a lots of videos from nomads who live in their vehicles 24/7. People have already figured this out, you just need to copy and improve on what they did.

Interesting. Anyone out there converted one of these SUV tents to use with a Maverick? I like the idea of being able to easily detach it and not take it all the way down.

This build is an SUV tent that attaches to the topper. The SUV tents rely on the hatch to hold up the tent. We used pvc to make the structure. I'm not sure how one would accomplish that otherwise. It takes 5 minutes to set up. We slip the tent under the tailgate and fasten it to the wheels and topper. Put the pvc supports in and done.

We looked at a few different options for this, but with the raised bed, which we needed for space reasons, it made sence to go with a taller tent option. DAC tent is a popular option.
