Has anyone attempted to mount a Bulletpoint RubiGrid inside of a center console tray?

I’m really interested in the RubiGrid for an upcoming cross country road trip but am not sure I want to have it installed all the time. I have a tray already and would buy a second one to just switch out when I wanted a mount up top (if it works that is).

You may need to assess the dimensions of both the RubiGrid and your center console tray to see if they are compatible. Additionally, consider if the tray provides enough stability and support for the RubiGrid while driving.

If you're willing to experiment and potentially modify the tray to accommodate the RubiGrid, it could offer a convenient and flexible solution for your road trip needs. Just ensure that any modifications are done safely and securely to avoid any issues while driving.

If you're uncertain about the compatibility or feasibility of this setup, reaching out to Bulletpoint directly

I have this mounted in my Mav. I like it a lot. I keep in all the time to have where to put my phone, also have a mount for my Garmin GPS for a backup. Think looks cool there. Hope this helps.

I have this in my Maverick as well. It is pretty solid. I will say that there can be some minor vibration where the phone may wiggle a little under driving conditions. However it is very minimal and not a reflection of the mount. The mount itself is very solid, not difficult to install but it is a process. The mount gives lots of flexibility for different attachments/placement. Only thing I’ve noticed, once again not a mount issue, is the windshield of the Mav is pretty skinny and having the phone up that high versus the cubby location (where I used to have it mounted) can interfere with my view and surroundings a little. Nothing insurmountable but just a consideration especially if you have anything hanging from your rear view mirror… like a carpool tag! I’ll post a picture of mine in a second.
