I ordered a Maverick XL eco boost on 1/25/22 and was told it would arrive in 8-10 weeks, after reading thru the forums I am thinking the dealer doesn’t know what they are talking about…..should I assume more like 6 months?

With an Ecoboost you have a chance to get it more quickly than the hybrid orders taking 8 months. Among forum members here, last month there were more December and January orders scheduled for production than orders from earlier months.

Even if you get scheduled this week, however, the build date will be in April, which would likely mean May delivery. That is your best case scenario.

Thank you so much for answering, very frustrating that the dealer would just lie but I have no problem on waiting
