Of all places.. it's very common in Hermosillo, the city where the Maverick is produced.
Many Americans and Canadians come down with large rigs and can't close the doors on the tiny carports once they park the rig.. so the back end of their trucks stick out into the sidewalk..... Many a Canadian / American acquitance has had their tailgate stolen in the 19 years I've lived in Mexico....
By extension... it also happens in Tucson quite frecuently ...
