Bought a Maverick 1 day before cutoff, dealer never mentioned a recall

Bought a 2024 XLT one day before they stopped selling (11/21/24) due to the rear camera recall. The dealer never mentioned that there was an open recall. I wonder if legally they were supposed to disclose this. I probably would have tried to negotiate a better deal, had I known there was a couple month old recall with no fix identified.

You bought and took possession the day before the actual government mandated hold.
The deal is legal. The fact that dealer didn't say anything about the recall, that's another matter.
If you assume the dealer or the salesman knew the pending recall shutdown before it happened.
You would be assuming quite a bit.
Willing to bet you that the salesman didn't even know that Ford was fine to 169 million for the faulty backup cameras.

Sale shouldnt have gone through...System wouldnt allow them to sell the car unless the VIN had the recall done or the VIN had no recall on it..That said you scrwed yourself by buying a '2 at the end of nov when a '25 woud be less to order ....Had a '24 that I didnt pick up..because Id rather have AWD instead of 2wd, or bigger scree, or bliss on the '25
